` what I miss about you

Know what I miss bunches?

1. Cute Ads, everywhere.

2. Random Street Basking.

3. The people. (This should be no. 1)

4. Being with people crazy enough to do things we do.

3am on the plane. On the way to Brisbane. Most of us who were awake (or woken up) sang Happy Birthday so loudly, I think we woke the entire cabin (and neighboring ones, prolly) up. By the way, when I say most of us, there were at least thirty of us singing okay!

5. Pretty flowers, everywhere. Nothing like home.

Sucha pretty sight, ain't it?
One of the things I miss about Australia? The gorgeous flowers.

6. Fresh fruits.

When they say fresh fruits, they mean it. Back here, they pack it in a box, ship it miles, spray lotsa lotsa preservatives and tell us, FRESH FRUITS! :)

7. Bush Dancing

8. Early Nights

9. Sara Lee cheese cake

10. Electric Blanket :)

Now, for random pictures.

One day, i'm gonna own a hummer!
*cough*

ACU

Not something you can do at home, eh?

:)

I think this will pretty much conclude my Aussie 08 trip. All other pictures have been uploaded on facebook. I finally found this program that uploads my pictures directly from iPhoto to facebook. It's a whole load faster than uploading in blogger.

Till then. :)

` of free bus rides

It is tremendously overwhelming to be back home. I'm a pretty big fan of exaggerating how I feel about certain somethings. But this, is not one of them. I don't recall a time I was this happy being home. :) I have two koalas hanging off the side of my iBook now. They're so very adorable. I spent last night in Changi Airport. Luckily I didn't sleep off during the flight back from Sydney. I would've dreaded every moment spent awake in Changi with my might as well be condemned then oily hair. I wasn't the only one feeling that way. Most of us had our showers about 2 days before. Haha. Not funny.

This was why. Most of us had our showers late Friday night (possibly after the Hillsong concert, for most and packing!). From what I was told, most of us slept at 2am, earliest. Lol. So yeah. Saturday morning SIX am, we were gathering at Suttherlands. Who in freaks meets up in a train station at six? Sigh. I couldn't even pack my bag properly! Btw, before heading to Aussieland, I had immense trouble trying to close my bag, I had to literally sit on it. Went shopping at Queensland, didn't dispose anything, Laura and I had to sit on my luggage bag to get it locked down. Bought more things in freaking NSW, and I had an awesome time trying to get my bag shut. Darn it! Then again, I'm happy with all the stuff I got! Snufflelafagistish. Just a random word. Okay. Back to the story. From Suttherland station, we headed to the International Airport to keep our bags in "lockers" (cos heck to the no, I'm NOT going to lug it with me all the way to the racecourse). Then, we embarked on our ten (or more) kilometer walk. Across the Sydney Harbour bridge and what nots, on our journey towards Randwick Racecourse. They did not have bathing facilities there, so yeah. We then set up our tents, camped out that night (without bathing, btw) then woke up the next morning for the mass with the Pope (still, without bathing). Oh yeah. T'was the second time I saw the Pope up closeee. The first was at the Sydney Opera House, btw. Possibly the closest i'll ever get to him in this lifetime of mine. *heaves a sigh* Did I also mention that there were like 300,000 people at Randwick too? Yeah. Have you any idea how a horse racecourse look like? How soily, dusty, germ-infected it can get? Yeah. I personally thought we were blessed to get the cleanest, dust-free zone in Randwick. At 12noon, we literally ran to catch the buses to get to Central to get us to the International Airport (also without bathing, mind you).

Okay. No one is going to understand the exhillarating and exhausting moments I had there and all the adrenaline that pumped through my veins. I wanted to get home so desperately, I was on the first bus to Central station, ran my way to Platform 23 in fear that i'd conveniently miss the bus to the International Airport (and not make it for the check-in). Finally boarded the Airbus A380 (still without bathing - 2nd day - ewww). It was, as I previously mentioned, luxurious and the works. Grabbed a picture from wikipedia.

Alright. The group of us conquered the lounge right beside the Changi Hard Rock Cafe. They came, they conquered. There was an orchestra of snores, so powerful, you could have just stayed awake. Naturally, we all slept, regardless. Pigs we are. Slept till we got woken up by police men. Sigh. What a fright that was. I'm telling you, back then, I was pretty sure they were going to put us in some lock up for having big-ass snorers around. Turns up, they were pretty nice, just doing what they had to. Check passport. Finally, 19 of us left Singapore at 7am. The 15 of them had to wait till 12 noon cos of some unforeseen circumstances.

Anyway, this was the joke of the day.

The Kam siblings in different places at the same time.
Lyn Kam - Malaysia (7am flight) Chloe Kam - Singapore (waiting for 12noon flight) Ian Kam - Australia (he lost his passporttttt!)
yeah.

Lol.

Okay. I think I should start studying. But I want to tell the world how fun Aussie wassss. I had the best and God sent foster parents. Electric blankets to keep us warm in the cold winter. That's the best part. The one thing that kept me going through the nights (besides not having to share room with L. hee. jk).

We'll go back together, won't we? I know we will. Someday. Somehow. We'll figure this one out. Lol. World Youth Day was an awesome experience. The Aussie Government went out of the way (although for their own long-term benefit) to keep us safe and sound. I could get used to shopping there once I stop converting the figures in my head. Oh wait. And after I rid Laura. She converts them out loud, which makes my shopping sound like sins. Lol.

WE HAD BAKUTEH FOR BREAKFAST BEBEH. FIRST MEAL AFTER TOUCHDOWN. HAD MAMAK FOR LUNCH. CANT WAIT FOR DINNER. LAURA WE GOT OUR FOOOOOD. OH MAN. I LOVE MALAYSIA. I LOVE THE SUN. I LOVE IT THAT THERE'S NO WINTER. I LOVE IT THAT I DON'T HAVE TO BATHE, BEARING LAURA IN MIND. TRYING NOT TO USE UP ALL THE HOT WATER AND LEAVE HER FREEZING WATER TO BATHE. I DON'T HAVE TO STRATEGIZE HOW I'M GOING TO GET OUT OF THE SHOWERS WITHOUT FREEZING. I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO FINISH THEIR ASS-WHOOPING-BIG PORTIONS OF AUSSIE FOOD. NO MORE AUSSIE BBQ. NO MORE SAUSAGES. CHAR KUEY TEOW, I'M HAVING YOU TMR. AND WAN TAN MEE. OH MAN. I'VE BEEN SEVERELY DEPRIVED OF ASIAN FOOD, SPICY FOOD. IT'S ALSO GOOD TO KNOW THAT IT DOESN'T GET PITCH BLACK AT 6 IN THE EVENING. WHAT BULLOCKS. WHAT MORE, SLEEPING AT 9PM. GOSSSHH.

You know I'll forgive you about the camera incident eventually. If my memory card doesn't work, it's going to be a long journey ahead.

Anyway, since I've got no pics now, i'll upload some fancy ones. While I was freezing in Aussieland, the sister was performing at KL Convention Centre. No Limits was the name of the musical, synonymous to Honda All new Accords motto. BTW, the musical was fully sponsored by Honda. I know, right.. Bleh man. And her life can't get more exciting now, can it? LOL. Kononnya missed me when I wasn't home! Sobs. So anyway, I stole some of her pics to post here. :) She'll definitely see this cos she's been ranting about how I haven't updated my blog since I got home.

You know you can't kill me, right? hehe. *peace offering*

spot the sister. :)
cantik-cantik belaka, kan?

` changi II

Finally i'm on the way home.
I say finally because for the pass few days, all I could think of was my bed.

Will blog properly when I gather the pics from Edwin and all.
Oh yeah. My brand new camera got into a accident. Terrible. Sigh.

Well yeah. Okay. Going back to finals.
Going back to long forgotten work.

Most importantly, going HOME.

Omgosh someone should capture a picture of all these sick and tired people, literally.
Muka kesian giler.

Watched three movies on SIA flight from Sydney to Singapore just now.
Sleepy now. Oh btw, we came back on a mega A380.
Big, luxurious and comfy. The stewardess weren't as nice as our first flight tho. =_=

Woohoo. home sweet home. cawabungaaaaa.

Ta.

` Aquinas

So here I am at Aquinas college, Sydney. It's been a longggg bus ride. So long, I started hallucinating. Was actually this ( ) close to knocking Laura out with a punch (or two).

Beaudesert was awfully cold two nights ago. It was about 4 degrees celcius or lower. Thankfully, we were really caught up with the bush dance, we were sweating in that insane weather. How'd you sweat in such a weather, I don't know. I could get used to bush dancing! The Australian nut bush dance was nice nice, fun fun.

And omgosh. All this while, we were actually living in Logan City. That I didn't know. Oh and, L and I went shopping at Queensland/Brisbane City and Gold Coast. I could get used to this man! Awesome lah.

Btw, St. Mary's at Beaudesert is the second largest wooden structure in the southern hemisphere or something like that. Pretty church, i'd say. But obviously, the Anglicans just had to over do it, as usual. Long story. Anyways, it's getting really irritating cos I didn't bring my camera cable so I can't upload pics. Oh yeah. Dadda and momma bought me a new camera the day before we left for Brisbane.

So far, it's been an awesome experience. Everything except the drastic weather changes, that is.

Couple of days ago, David and Lorna brought Yuina, Laura and I to Goldcoast and we bought some stuff. haha. Mom, I have a feeling that you're going to like what I got you.

Unfortunately, we're going to stay with foster families, again. Why? Cos Aquinas had to shut down the gas flow for the heaters due to operational hazzards, apparently. There is no way i'm staying here with five hundred others from other countries, with no heater or hot water. Period.

Okay. My fingers are going to fall off. Mahemmm. Damn cold.

Seeyaz!

Love all!

` ACU

I'd say i'm glad i'm here but oh gosh it's cold. Not as cold as I expected, so that's amazing. The plane ride was great. Celebrated aunty Veron's birthday on board at 3.15am. I'm telling you, we woke nearly the entire plane up. Everyone except for Alithea. =_= That girl can really sleep. Overall, the flight was good and the SIA stewerdess were really nice. Stewards were ... Okay. Had some turbulance towards the end but it was all good. :)

Am currently in ACU. The campus' really nice. The weather is beautiful. Met Laura II. I don't think I can be any happier, just yet. We're waiting for our foster parents to come get us. Will they want us? *whiney face*

Awesome, ain't it? Anyone here'd agree with me.

P/s: I didn't realise this until I was gently reminded. We (the group of us) started off as friends in church, going to mamak together, taking driving licenses together, going on trips together, bus rides to Penang, nearly missing busses at Pudu and now we're in Aussieland together.

Joshua says oh no. I'm stuck with you forever. :) hehe. We love ya too!

` 20 years of snow

It was good while it lasted. :)

So, i'm back from classes early today. I have to pack my bag. I have this huge dilemma. Two weeks ago, I decided on taking this particular suitcase with me. Last night, I looked at it intently and something hit me from the back. I can't even fit enough clothes init for FIVE freaking days. How in good Pete's name am I supposed to pack for 2 freaking WEEKS? Right. So I ended up scurrying around, digging for luggage bags. Finally decided on one. I hope it works out this round. :) So now, I'm supposed to pack, but yeah. Need to update my oh-so-neglected blog first.

Last week, it was baby J's baptism! Well at least there's another man in the family now. That'll make 3 men in both our families, actually. Not very many but it'll have to do, for now. At the after-party, we had good food by (obviously) Mum's Place.

Papa, baby J and Godpa all in white! :)

God bless baby J, indeed!

Oh this was pretty interesting. Do you know why it's called swing?
Cos the bottle swings. Okay. Nevermind.
You'll have to see it for yourself to get it. =_=

Overall, it was a good night with great laughs and spastic karaoke sessions with random people. I actually found Mr. J pretty funny. "They actually wanted to name the baby after me *yadayadayada*". Yes we get it. We so totally get it. You were drunk. Hoho.

My daddy! :) He banyak comel.
That picture was from one of those many days in a row we spent in various shopping malls. Daddy has never been one to enjoy this wonderful art of retail therapy. Boy he can get his annual shopping done in the blink of the eye. His last record was like two (or three) shoes, three (I think) pairs of pants and many many many very many shirts in under an hour. How does he do it? I don't know. The only times he takes more than an hour is if he's with us. Cos people like me sibuk bangat choose this, choose that. Try this, try that. Try to dress him differently abit and all. Lol. Dyu know, when we went to America and we went to the factory outlets to shop, daddy covered like 100 plus stores, walked backwards to find mommy and us, guess where he found us. The third store. Lol. The difference between the genders I tell you. My parents are the best la. :)

Wait. I'm supposed to be packing my bag.
*procrastinating*
I should go.
*but it can wait*
I'm leaving tomorrow.
*I CAN PACK TMR.*

Awesome.

Last week, doggy @ whitey @ girly @ Miko, fell sick. She came down with some terrible series of illness thanks to the stupid squirels who constantly pay visits to my garden. When they leave their little offerings of peace, all their bacteria and germs start spreading to my little clan of dogs. Literally.

In the end, we had to take her to a vet in Taman Tun to get her fixed right. I hope she recovers. She took blood tests and she had only 0.08% of white blood cells, which is as good as none. Therefore, she had no defense mechanism. Any little virus could just grab her life then. She's on medication and (praise God) she's responding well.

I thought her notebook was in such an adorable shade of yellow!
Lol.

The Fly :)

Now i've travelled across the ocean
With the same shoes just shorter hair
I still carry that picture in my wallet
From the photo booth.

Mommy's awesome home made everything. :)

Gosh I'll miss this weather.
=_='
Till then!

` red high heels

One more assignment.

Two days to go.

Three bags to pack.

I can barely contain my excitement and fear.
Will post properly before/after. *grins like a goon*
