Wira Debate Champions 2008: SMKDJ

lalala. :)

Kononnya the only school to win the title three times in the country.

haha.

God is so kind.

I'm sure they did good.

You all deserve... sleep :)

If i'm not mistaken, they swooped all the debate titles this year.

Taylors, HELP and Wira.
Edit: not Taylors, i'm sorry. It was KDU.
But who cares, the Wira is theirs. :)

Rach, looks like what you said can come true, right?

"If we get this championship, fail exams also worth it"

hahaha.
I know my picture's completely unrelated, but who cares?
Celebration baybeh!

`Edit//

Okay. That was one short post. I was in between classes when the sister messaged me. I think I suffered from multiple anxiety attacks this morning. I kept looking at my phone wondering "hmmm. Did they lose? Is that why I haven't got a message all morning? Didn't the debate start at eight? Isn't it supposed to end already? They crying or what?" =_= Three classes back too back and that's all I could think of.

I think they deserved it, and they were truly blessed. Twelve days, crazy speeches for four motions, printers and brain juices running on overdrive, while they all thrived on adrenaline. Alright. I'm just malu that over one of the weekends I slept at 5am doing my assignment, woke up the next afternoon around 12 and saw Keefe, Sophia and Zaf (and maybe the others, but I was too sleepy to notice) staring at me when I came down like some lazy old lady. I nicely asked them "oh, only the few of you? Where's the rest?", bluntly they replied "we've been here all morning, we're going back soon". Haha. Malu giler. Hold on, I think I remember them very clearly cos they always loudly say "hi Michelle" (I have a feeling they think I'm partially deaf. haha).

My account of the story:

So it's been a long journey. I just realised that this' my 100th post in this blog. I kept shifting blogs, I lost count. Anyway, it's such a coincidence that good awesome news came along with this 'celebration' of my 100th post.

You know the saying "what's yours will be yours, regardless"? I think this is the situation, the moment and the perfect illustration to that saying - those kids winning the Wira cup 2008.

Earlier this year, they got eliminated at the State level. Not eliminated literally, but they were Selangor's first runner up. It's a long story to how they got reinstated to represent Selangor. The state champions, after approximately five months, decided (two weeks before the competition) that the competition was too close to their SPM examinations. At least it seemed that way, because that was when the DJ kids were informed. Consequently, these little kids decided to 'defer' their school finals, to focus on the Wira nationals.

What other schools did in months, they did in twelve days. Now, that is one helluva challenge; for that, they deserve some respect man. They devoted their waking hours and sleeping seconds to this. Well, at least I think they did. Lol. Finally, their twelve days worth of excessive, overwork and underpaid affairs, with unrestrained, choked up phone bills left them basking in the joy of victory. Slowly but surely, they conquered in the end.

haha. I'm really happy for them. When they got into the finals, I was like "you know, they already got so far with 12 days worth of work; if they lose, at least they retain the title of National runner-ups?". I think I was secretly and desperately trying to console myself that not all people get to be winners. Plus, other teams have slogged months, over the motions! haha. Nevertheless, I was ecstatic when I heard the news. I'm not the only one. We're all really happy. All of us.

Alrighty, i'm getting 'loh soh' already. ClassesAssignments are starting to take a toll on me. haha. My own fault. I still hate dislike group assignments, yo! The sister's getting home soon. Can't wait to hear the spills. :)

*hunger pangs*

Keni: "you're always starving"

*reflects*

Maybe, just maybe, that's why i'm gaining weight at sucha rate. Life's good, i'm prosperous. That's all.

*living in denial*

haha.
